Hotel Restaurant "Portole" is situated amid the wood and fields of a Tuscan mountainside, a few kilometres from the ancient Etruscan town of Cortona, a centre of art and culture. This exceptional location, with its panoramic views across the Val di Chiana to Lake Trasimeno and Mount Amiata, offers the perfect, tranquil spot by a quiet holiday with excellent opportunities for country walks, mountain bike rides and cultural excursions to nearby towns. After a busy day, a delicious Tuscan meal awaits the returning guest and the peace and quiet of the mountain promises a good night's sleep. In the large, inviting dining room which can seat 300, lovers of good food can sample typical Tuscan dishes based on fresh ingredients and accompanied by local wines. The family-run management guarantees attentive, personal service. On autumn evenings, one can enjoy the pleasure of dining near an open fire. In summer, the panoramic mountain terrace surrounded by nature, offers a place for quiet contemplation.

By Car:
From the A1 motorway exit Valdichiane:
- Continue in the direction of Cortona.
- Join the major road for Perugia and exit at the sign for Cortona.
- Follow the signs to Cortona for a further 20 minutes.
- The road rises to Cortona. On the road around the city walls you will see the sign for Portole along the SP34 road. Portole is 7 km north of Cortona.
